Gregg Braden

Gregg Braden is a five-time New York Times best-selling author, scientist, and international educator. Pravin Godkhindi

Pravin Godkhindi is an Indian classical Hindustani flute player. He has mastered the Tantrakari and Gayaki style of playing the flute. His father, Pandit Venkatesh Godkhindi, had trained him in the Kirana Gharana Gayaki style. He has performed with eminent musicians, such as Ustad Zakir Hussain, Dr. Balamurali Krishna, Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Dr. Kadri Gopalnath, and Sivamani. He is a winner of two national awards as Co-Producer for the films, Beru, and Vimukthi. He was recently awarded the Honorary Doctorate from Tumkur University.

U Rajesh

U Rajesh has performed in concerts across the globe. He was the youngest participant of the Magic Mandolin Festival in the 1980s, and has performed at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (New York, NY). He has toured and recorded with greats, such as Ustad Zakir Hussain, Louis Banks, Ustad Sultan Khan, Ranjit Barot, Mike Marshall, and multi-percussionists Sivamani and Pete Lockett, as well as Karsh Kale, and Greg Ellis. U Rajesh has also performed live with both the Johannesburg and KNZ Philharmonic Orchestras, and has played for guitar maestro John McLaughlin on the GRAMMY®-nominated album, Floating Point.

Adnan Khan

Adnan Khan was born into a family of illustrious musicians. He is the son of renowned Sitar maestro Ustad Saeed Zafar Khan, and belongs to two lineages––Dilli Gharana, and Kirana Gharana. Adnan has performed in various prestigious music festivals, including Baba Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan, ITC Sangeet Sammelan, MTV INDIA Music Summit, International Music Festival in Turkmenistan, Bengal Foundation in Bangladesh, the Indian and the Bahrain Festivals, international festival in Maldives, Salt Lake Music Conference, Arohi Music Festival, Rajiye Sangeet Academy, Ustad Vilayat Khan Foundation, and many more! 

Danish Ali

Danish is an exceptional violinist who belongs to the Ustad Bundu Khan tradition. Born in a family of musicians, he had the privilege of learning from his grandfather, the late Ustad Mohammad Ali Khan, a celebrated Sursagar and Sarangi virtuoso who was the disciple of Sarangi Wizard, Bundu Khan Sahab. Now, under the guidance of renowned Indian Classical vocalist and head of Delhi Gharana, Ustad Iqbal Ahmed Khan, Danish is an expert in both Gayaki Ang and Tantrakari. A refined rendition of Swaras, different types of Gamakas, Sapaat taans, and layakari, are his specialties, and he is equally proficient in Thumari performances.

Zuheb Ahmed Khan

Zuheb Khan began training at the age of three with his grandfather Ustad Hashmat Ali Khan’s support, and that of his maternal uncle—well-known tabla player, Ustad Akram Khan. A classical tabla virtuoso, Zuheb, the son of Ustad Naushad Ahmed Khan, belongs to the famous Ajrara Gharana. He has performed globally with many Indian Classical artists, including Ustad Shujaat Khan, Ustad Aashish Khan, Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan, Pandit Purbayan Chatterjee, and Pt. Satish Vyas. Zuheb has performed with great jazz musicians, such as Lars Møller, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Louis Hayes, and Kenny Baron.

Charu Suri

Charu is an award-winning pianist, composer, and journalist, who became the first Indian-born jazz composer to perform at Carnegie Hall. She has received praises for creating a new sound in jazz, blending a trio with Sufi vocals and Indian ragas. Her jazz original, Bluesy, won a Silver Medal at the International Singer-Songwriters Association Awards (ISSA), and was awarded an ISSA Gold Medal for “Jazz Artist of the Month” by ISSA. Her latest release, The Book of Ragas vol. 2—scored for piano, vibraphone, and a Sufi singer—has garnered critical acclaim. Cellist Yo-Yo Ma, and double bassist Edgar Meyer, have performed Charu’s works, as well.

Russ Hewitt

Russ explains his style of play as “fusing Spanish, Flamenco, jazz, Latin, Cuban, and Brazilian, simultaneously without worrying about what particular rules go with each style. A Latin/rumba base exists in all my songs, but each with a distinctive movement.” Russ is a Voting Member of The Recording Academy (Grammy Awards®), and for the Latin Grammy Awards®. His recordings, Bajo El Sol, Alma Vieja, and Cielo Nocturno resulted in global recognition and five Top 40 Smooth Jazz singles. He is the recipient of five Telly Awards, a Silver of which was for music he composed for the feature film, Thirst: Mission Liberia, and a Bronze in the Documentary category.

Swaminathan Selvaganesh

Swaminathan Selvaganesh is the grandson of Padma Bhushan-winning and GRAMMY®-winning T. H. Vinayakaram. Swaminathan learned to play instruments from his grandfather, and gave his first stage performance at the age of 12 at Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai. He has acquired the South Indian music art of Konnakal, where he sings percussion syllables vocally. Swaminathan is known his use of the small Kanjira, with which he mixes songs of different genres.

Rishabh is an Audio Engineer and Producer with an interest in experimental and ambient music. As a tabla player, his work draws inspiration from Indian Classical music, clearly reflected in his tones and textures for Aakasha.

Manas is an Audio Engineer and Composer, passionate about all forms of audiovisual content. A history graduate and musician at his core, he combines his learnings to create unique music. Manas’s acumen with acoustic instruments has flavored the arrangements of Aakasha.

Tapas is an Audio Engineer, Producer, and DJ, with a keen sense of sound design, synthesis, and for modern music. He performs live, and in the studio, working in several genres. His unorthodox approach adds a fresh dimension and shape to the tone of Aakasha.
